Hello! I'm Kerri Cushna, the Physical Education teacher at St. Pius V School. As a St. Pius alum, my connection to the school goes back many years, but my professional journey here began in 2022. I initially joined as a lunch aide, substitute teacher, and after-school program aide. The following year, I started teaching physical education to students in grades K-8 and also taught 6th grade literature and social studies.
I earned my degree in English Literature with a concentration in Professional Writing from Salem State University and have worked as a professional freelance writer for over 20 years. In addition to my writing career, I've taught music privately and am a proud parent of two wonderful St. Pius students. I am dedicated to fostering the growth and development of my students and look forward to helping them become more mindful, active, and engaged in learning while embracing the values of our school and the Catholic faith.
